First Annual SAIF Car Rally in St Albert

A family-friendly scavenger hunt done in cars & other vehicles.  Search for items at local businesses & landmarks & win fantastic prizes.  All funds raised to support our programs.

TITLE SPONSOR: $5,000

We're looking for a title sponsor for the event, who will have first right of refusal for the annual occurrence of this unique event. All promotion will include our Title sponsor once they are confirmed.  For more info, please contact info@stopabuse.ca.

We're looking for 3 sponsors to help out with prizes for our winners. We're looking for prize packages prizes that are family friendly and will work within Covid restrictions. For more info, please contact info@stopabuse.ca.

We're looking for a sponsor for our insurance for the event and to support advertising and promotion to get the word our on how to support the event and register! For more info, please contact info@stopabuse.ca.

IWe are inviting local St Albert businesses to act as a 'stop' or a corralling point for our 1st annual car rally fundraiser.

 

Participating businesses will need easy access for vehicles to be able to stop & for participants to be able to take photos or take part in brief challenges (preferably outdoors).  If you have swag that you can offer to participants as well as an active social media presence, we'd love to hear from you!

 

Registration for businesses is completely free but we do have a deadline so we can get you on the map!

Sat Sept 26  |  1-5 pm  |  St Albert

A family-friendly scavenger event to search for select items at local businesses & landmarks. Points will be awarded not only for 'proof' of scavenged items, there will be additional ways to win amazing prizes. This is a non alcoholic event.

 

$100 fee per team/vehicle. 

Drivers must be 18+ with a valid drivers' license & all vehicles must have current insurance & registration. Teams must complete the application & waiver and pay the registration fee before receiving a confirmation that they are entered into the event.

Can't make it? You can still make a donation to SAIF to support our programs and services. 

We strive to ensure all our programs are free of charge to minimize barriers for those needing to access things like:

  • one on one counselling

  • group programs

  • New Directions for families

  • elder abuse support & advocacy

  • referrals and resource navigation

  • healthy relationship education

The main way we're able to keep our programs free is because of community support through donations and charitable partners like you!

You can donate online and select where you would like our donation directed.

5. As COVID is still an issue you are expected to follow all COVID protocols as outlined by Alberta Health Services and the City of St. Albert.  All business establishments and attractions are subject to the same guidelines.

6. We will provide prizing for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place teams, no other prizes will be offered and due to the timeliness of the events the prize winners will be notified the next day.

7. Anyone not following the rules will be disqualified and asked to leave the event.

About the Event: Rules & Regulations

1. This is a non alcoholic family friendly event.

2. Participants are expected to follow all motor vehicle and driving laws and regulations.

3. Prior to the event you must sign the waiver and provide proof of valid insurance.

 

4. Prior to the event commencement you are expected to remain in your car until you have started the Car Rally course.  There will be no gathering after the event.
