This is a part time position (12-15 hrs/wk) funded with the support of grants and is thus subject to year to year renewal of employment.

 

Hours are daytime (school hours) and the occasional weekend in order to best meet the needs of the program and school bookings.

 

This role offers an hourly rate of $22-24/hr for presenting to school and other youth groups in and around the St Albert and Sturgeon County communities. Compensation for this role does not include a benefits package at this time.

Social work registration or eligibility for registration is required.

This is a part time short term position (10 hrs/wk) from April 1 to August 31. 

 

Hours are Mondays/Thursdays from 10 am to 3 pm and is on site.

Social Media Coordinator

This is a part time short term position (20 hrs/wk for 16 weeks - schedule to be negotiated) supported by the Canada Summer Jobs Program.

 

This role offers an hourly rate of $18-19/hr for social media and communications content development, stakeholder engagement, and donor recognition. 

Compensation for this role does not include a benefits package at this time. 

 

SAIF is Looking for our Next Clinical Supervisor

As a small organization, our Clinical Supervisor is a part time permanent position of approx. 8-10 hours/week (supporting a team of between 7-10 clinicians at any one time). We operate a group supervision model (on a weekly basis) but do require individual supervision for our provisional psychologists and practicum students. As a result, this position requires a Registered Psychologist, with a minimum 5 years registration (not including provisional status) who has developed/trained in a clinical supervision competency. There are no benefits associated with this role which has a salary range of $60-65/hour.

Position Duties / Responsibilities:
  • Facilitates & evaluates clinical services programs in consultation with the Executive Director;

  • Provides oversight to SAIF’s clinical services & staff to ensure that they are in compliance with the ethical codes & clinical standards of practice for the Alberta professional body with which staff are registered (in the case of no registration, CAP standards are considered the default);

  • Helps supports clinical decisions regarding service delivery as needed;

  • Makes recommendations for professional development activities for clinical staff; supports case reviews; may review psycho educational curriculum; is available for clinical consultation as appropriate;

  • Monitors & assesses best practices in the sector & emerging trends in consultation with the Executive Director;

  • Oversees & arranges appropriate supervision for any student placements and provisional students in the clinical program in consultation with the Executive Director;

  • Attends and participates in case conferences, clinical supervision & staff meetings as required;

  • Maintains documentation on all client files according to ethical codes and clinical standards of practice for the Alberta professional regulatory body in which registered;

  • Other duties as required as part of being a member of the SAIF team.
     

Required education/experience:
  • Experience in individual, group, and/or family therapy particularly as it relates to family violence, gender-based violence, and abuse;

  • Be registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists with a minimum 5 years registration as a psychologist (not including provisional status).
     

Essential & Preferred Skills:
  • Possess strong communication skills (both written & oral); feel confident in group and one on one settings;

  • Computer literacy, specifically Outlook, Excel, Word, and digital clinical record programs;

  • Be self-motivated, have a strong attention to detail & be able to prioritize your own workload;

  • Demonstrate leadership as needed & work collaboratively on a multi-disciplinary team.

Additional Requirements:
Current criminal & vulnerable persons’ sector check, valid driver’s license and proof of registration with College of Alberta Psychologists for a minimum of 5 years outside of any provisional status.
