Workshops available for grades 7-9

  • Real Power

Real Power is a dynamic, experiential program that challenges students to be real with themselves and eachother. Through a series of activities designed to build empathy and reveal the dynamics of relational aggression and interpersonal violence, trained Real Power facilitators challenge students to play their own role in creating compassionate classrooms.

Real Power takes a unique approach to violence prevention by focusing on its root causes. We empower students to create change by making classroom well-being a shared responsibility. By practicing healthy expression of emotions and compassionate listening, students are given new tools to deal with and prevent violence.

    Why Book Real Power?

Real Power is intended for classrooms that are confronting issues of bullying, conflict, and anger. Real Power is also beneficial for classrooms who wish to prevent violence by fostering inclusion, understanding, and compassion. The concepts and intervention models introduced by Real Power can be maintained by teachers beyond the program to create a culture of non-violence in the classroom.

    • One full morning interactive workshop (we can accommodate a maximum 50 students)
    • One period check-in workshop following the full morning, usually 1-2 weeks later
